ARISE
COUNSELING AND CONSULTING

Hi, I'm Kim Judice,
I am a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor at Arise Counseling and Consulting. I believe therapy is a collaborative and compassionate process where you can slow down, better understand yourself, and create meaningful change.
As a humanistic therapist, I see you as a whole person with unique experiences, strengths, and the capacity for growth. My role is to offer a safe, supportive space where you can explore what feels difficult and reconnect with what matters most to you.
My approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and trauma- and attachment-informed approaches. Together, we can explore how your thoughts, emotions, physical responses, relationships, and past experiences influence one another. We may also incorporate nervous system regulation and supportive lifestyle habits to help you build emotional resilience and practical tools for everyday life.
You do not need to have all the answers to begin therapy. We can start wherever you are, working toward greater self-compassion, healthier relationships, and a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.
Areas of Interest
Addiction and Family Support
Supporting individuals navigating addiction and co-occurring mental health concerns is a part of my work I find particularly meaningful. I help clients explore patterns of substance use, strengthen coping skills, and work toward recovery and meaningful change. I also enjoy supporting family members affected by a loved one’s addiction as they navigate difficult emotions, establish boundaries, and care for their own well-being.
Older Adults, Grief, and Life Transitions
Older adults bring a lifetime of experiences and perspectives that I value, and I especially enjoy working with this population. I offer support through grief and loss, changes in health or independence, shifting family roles, and finding connection and purpose in a new season of life.
Neurodivergent Young Adults
Supporting neurodivergent clients, particularly young adults, is an area close to my heart. I enjoy helping them better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, and navigate relationships and changing responsibilities while honoring their individual needs.
Chronic Pain, Illness, and Caregiver Burnout
My healthcare background has given me an appreciation for the emotional impact of physical pain and chronic illness. I support adults adjusting to health challenges, as well as caregivers who may feel overwhelmed or disconnected from their own needs. Together, we can explore ways to cope, recognize limits, and make room for self-care and connection.
Women’s Issues and Other Adult Concerns
I also have a special interest in supporting women navigating menopause and other life transitions. My work with adults includes anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, self-worth, identity, and body image concerns.
My Education and Background
I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in May 2025. Before becoming a counselor, I worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant for more than 20 years. I am also a certified yoga teacher, having completed my certification in 2018.
Throughout my healthcare career, I witnessed how physical pain and chronic illness can affect emotional well-being. These experiences shaped my appreciation for the mind-body connection and my passion for helping people thrive physically, mentally, and emotionally. In counseling, I help clients become more aware of this connection so they can better understand themselves, heal from past experiences, and create meaningful, fulfilling lives.
As a PLPC, I practice under the board-approved supervision of a Licensed Professional Counselor–Supervisor (LPC-S) while continuing to advance my clinical training and professional development toward full licensure.
